In 2008, Mitch made the decision to step into the family business. As his father's (Chet Pearce) health was failing, Mitch felt the need to carry on in the same manner that he had done for over forty years. Helping people and families was his goal. To him, people in need of his services are not just clients, but are friends in need. Although Mitch mentions often that he will never be able to fill his shoes, he tried to do the best he can to take care of those clients by walking in those same footsteps as his father.
